Abacus and Mental-Arithmetic is a method to exercise our brain through performing complicated calculations. Whenever we are using abacus to perform calculations, our brain automatically images the arithmetic calculations. By combining the principles of abacus calculations and the powers of visualization, we will be able to achieve these calculations even without the help of an actual abacus. This activity also helps to strengthen our memory and unleashes brainpower.

Why is Abacus & Mental-Arithmetic important?

Abacus training does not only help with basic calculations such as addition, multiplication, subtraction, and division, it can also help in effective counting of decimal points or even negative numbers. When students learn to use an abacus, they are exercising their brain to perform complicated calculations. Scientific theory shows that the finger movements enable students to activate their brain sensors and help them to reconcile their left and right brain.

Yes, we do offer international abacus examinations every year. Besides, we also provide internal examinations and competitions for our students regularly. These examinations and competitions are open to students of all levels.

What is Go Chess?

Go is a two-player strategic chess game originated from the ancient China. Go contains the rich connotation of Chinese culture, which is also the embodiment of Chinese culture and civilisation. Go uses square-shaped checkerboards and black-and-white circular pieces to play. The board has 19 vertical and horizontal segments to divide the board into 361 intersections. The Go chess will be placed on the intersections, and the two sides play alternately, the Go chess pieces cannot be moved after it was placed. The player with more enclosures will be the winner of the game.

What is Chinese Chess?

Chinese Chess is also a two-player strategic chess game originated from the ancient China. Chinese chess is a simulation of ancient war, linear war, land war, and plane war. Chinese Chess uses square-shaped checkerboards and two-coloured round pieces to play. The board has 10 horizontal lines and 9 vertical lines divided into 90 intersections. There are 32 Chinese Chess pieces and 16 pieces for each colour. The Chess is divided into 7 types of arms, placement and activities at the intersection. The two players move their chess pieces alternately and the first player to checkmate the opponent will be the winner of the game.

What is the best age to start taking our courses?

The best age to start taking our courses would be 4 to 12 years old. During this age group, children's brain starts to develop rapidly, making it the best time for intelligence training. Most of the children in this age group do not have heavy learning tasks, giving them plenty of time to take our training courses. Young children are also more willing to accept new things out of curiosity. Therefore, it is crucial for us to focus our training plan during this age group.
